2012 Women’s Creative Collective Skillshare Retreat “Re.generation”

What is the Skillshare?
The skillshare was originally founded by the WCC in 2009 to gather the knowledge of collectives in Southern California, to help each other heal, reconnect to nature, and to bring that wisdom back into our urban spaces and our communities. This year’s skillshare is organized by WCC and new friends. Coming together, we will work toward building more resilient communities, transforming ourselves, and increasing our capacity for radical imagination.

The Details
The skillshare will be held June 8-10 at Muhu Tasen, a Native American ceremonial space in the Ojai Valley. The weekend will begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday afternoon. A $20 suggested donation covers the cost of all meals and accommodations, which will be provided. Please let us know if you are in need of camping gear or transportation. Carpools will be available and arranged by Skillshare organizers. We are also working to arrange for childcare on-site. We want to make this space as accessible as we can to all who wish to attend, so please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Call for Workshop Leaders and Healers!
We are also looking for workshop leaders! If you have a particular healing practice or invaluable knowledge and think you might like to lead a workshop, we would love to have you bring your knowledge to the group. Please let us know what type of workshop you would like to lead.  (Workshop examples from previous years: wildlife survival skills, tai chi, chakra healing, meditations, writing workshops, holistic mental health, plant and herbal medicine, massage, sustainable community organizing, permaculture, dance, yoga, diy gynecology, dream workshops, guerilla theatre/theatre of the oppressed.)

We are also looking for healers of any kind to volunteer about 1-2 hours of their time for our healing space. Examples of healers might include: Sound healing with crystal bowls, body workers, energy workers, Reiki, etc.
